I prefer to design skins and containers in their ascx format and not in the html files. While doing this, I want to include the skin.css or a custom css file along with all the css files that would be normally included for the skin or module so that my WYSIWYG editor shows everything properly.
If is a simple matter to just include them conditionally where they are automatically dropped when shown in DNN but are included in most WYIWYG tools. Here is an example:
<%
if 1 = 0 then
%>
<head>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="skin.css" />
</head>
<%
end if
%>
