There a number of people who do not wish or cannot consume alcohol.  While this may be a small market in the world of wines, there area several companies producing inexpensive non-alcoholic wines:

From what I can see, most agree that the taste is different after the process of removing the alcohol, but this might also be the fact that the tasters are use to the alcohol and require some time to adjust.  The end result is up to the taster.

I have also find a post where a person was expecting to cook with the non-alcoholic versions and some of them did not give the results they had hoped.
