If you are using the Visual Studio.net 2005 beta 2 built in web server to run your web app and happen to be using a browser other than IE, you might get prompted for a user name and password just to view the page. This may be caused by Microsoft defaulting the authentication method in the built in web server to NTLM.
If you wish to run without this checking on your local machine, simply go to the menu "Website -> Start Options.." and uncheck the NTLM option.
Should be smooth sailing after that :)
