This makes one gallon of cleaner:
Mix 1/3 cup fabric softner (the cheapest brand you can find) and mix with 1 gallon of water. Pour some into a spray bottle. Spray on windows, allow to set for a few seconds, then clean with a paper towel or chamois, wiping until dry.
The fabric softner acts as a water softner and works great. We have even used this to clean our RV and auto when we have been staying in parks that won't allow car/RV washing.
